Sangha: Our Community
Below you will find information on our sanghas, which meet in Boulder, Denver, Fort Collins, Longmont, Colorado Springs and Morrison. Please email or call the members listed for each sangha for more details on meeting locations and times. Spacious Heart Sangha welcomes practitioners of all levels and lineages. We meet every Tuesday until March 1st when we will switch to Monday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Please arrive a few minutes before 7:00 to greet other practitioners and prepare for sitting meditation.

The evening typically consists of 25 minutes of sitting meditation, 10 minutes of walking meditation, another 25 minutes of sitting meditation, followed by one hour of dharma discussion (including readings from Thich Nhat Hanh or various other teachers) and, of course, tea and cookies! Depending on the leader(s) (we rotate leadership among our practitioners), the evening may also include chanting, mindful movement, guided visualization, or other meditative practices.
Please bring your own meditation cushion or bench. (A couple of extra cushions and chairs are available.)Mountain Stream Sangha
We meet every Thursday night from 7-9 pm at A Place to Sit in the Crossroads Gardens building, 1800 30th St., Boulder, CO.
Our evening consists of members leading us in sitting meditation (20 minutes), walking meditation (10 minutes), and a second sitting meditation (20 minutes). Dharma discussion follows the the meditation portion which may include readings, video of Thich Nhat Hanh’s teachings, poetry, and songs, accompanied by tea and cookies.
No charge – Dana donations welcome.
Chairs and cushions are provided or you can bring your own cushion.

Sun Mountain Sangha
Sun Mountain Sangha’s new location, beginning Jan. 6, 2015, is at the Tai Chi Association of Colorado Springs in the Trestle Building, 219 W. Colorado Ave., Suite 310, Colorado Springs, CO 80903. We meet every Sunday from 4 to 5:30 pm, for Guided Mediation, Walking Meditation, reading one of the Five Mindfulness Trainings, Silent Meditation, and Dharma Discussion. On the third Sunday of every month, we have a vegetarian potluck, where we bring a dish of our own choosing, and also bring our own tableware and cloth napkin to help preserve the planet.
Please arrive a few minutes early to get settled. Cushions and mats or chairs are provided. Follow Colorado Ave. from downtown (heading west) or from the west side (heading east), turn north at the first light on the bridge onto Cimino/200 West Colorado, follow the off ramp and proceed underneath the overpass. The Trestle building is the large tan and white stucco building on the left at the southeast end of the open parking lot.
Eyes of Compassion Sangha We meet each Thursday from 7:00 – 9:00 PM. Our format is 20 minutes of sitting meditation / 20 minutes of walking meditation / 20 minutes of sitting meditation, followed by tea meditation and dharma discussion. We often share readings, video and audio dharma talks, and song.
We have a wonderfully diverse group of practitioners, some with very little experience, others with many years of sitting. We come from all backgrounds, cultures and ideologies and have been drawn together by the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh. We sit together with the intention of increasing peacefulness and insight in families, our society, and ourselves. Please join us.
We welcome newcomers, and basic meditation instruction is offered. If you are new to the practice and would like to have an orientation before joining us for sitting, please contact Matt Sherman: Sherman.email@example.com 303.885.3091 to arrange a meeting at 6:30 before sitting.

New Moon Sangha meets on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month at my home.
We practice a bit of gentle stretching, sitting, walking, and eating meditation followed by dharma sharing and a song or two.

Peaceful Presence Sangha
We meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month from 10.30 am to 12.00 noon in the South Denver, Greenwood Village/Centennial area. We welcome all friends interested in meditation and mindfulness, including beginners.

Peaceful Heart Sangha began practicing after a retreat with Thay in 2002. We meet on Sundays from 4:00-6:00 PM. Our practice includes sitting and walking meditation, dharma study, mindful eating, and mindful discussion. All those who wish to practice mindfulness are invited to attend, including beginners. Lotus Blossom Sangha meets weekly at the Meditation Place in Longmont. Each Tuesday evening session offers two periods of sitting meditation separated by a short walking meditation, followed by tea, a teaching and a discussion. Beginners and experienced meditators alike are welcome.
Join us every Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:45 PM at the Meditation Place, 324 Main St. (Alley Entrance) facing the Library. Just one door south of Old Town Market. Meditation instruction for beginners is available at 6:45. All are welcome. Donations are accepted but are not required.

Compassionate Dharma Cloud Monastery Tuesday Night Sangha warmly welcomes everyone ~ from beginners curious about mindfulness and/or Buddhism to long-term practitioners. Practicing in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh we also explore teachings from other lineages. We gather together with the intention of cultivating our compassion, understanding, and well-being, as individuals and as a community. We support each other with our practice and love.
Our evening begins at 5PM with a Dharma talk and discussion, led by Abbot Thich Tinh Man; 6:15PM – walking meditation, sitting meditation and chanting; 8PM – we share a simple meal ending at 9PM. It is not necessary to come for the entire evening if your schedule does not permit.

Mindful Monday Meditation
A Mindfulness Practice in the Plum Village Tradition

First Monday practice includes: sitting and walking meditations, a reading, audio or video teaching, mindful tea and Dharma discussion.
Third Monday of the Month 6:00 – 7:30 PM / Room 5 -- Upstairs The third Monday practice is a shorter session without tea. Practices will vary with facilitators, but may include: a longer sitting or walking meditation, additional mindfulness practices and Dharma discussion.<.p>

Windy Moon Sangha is a mindfulness community practicing in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh. Our Sangha practices seated meditation, walking meditation, dharma discussion, readings, tea ceremonies, and guided meditations. We meet every Thursday evening from 7:30-9:00 PM. Directions: Follow 287 North from Ft. Collins, which becomes 3rd Street once you reach Laramie. Continue on 3rd Street until you reach Ivinson Ave. Turn left on Ivinson Ave. Blossom yoga is one block down on the right. From I-80 West take the 3rd Street exit and follow the directions above. From I-80 East take the Snowy Range road exit. Turn left under the highway and continue until Snowy Range Road becomes Clark Street. Continue on Clark Street over the bridge until 3rd Street. Take a right on 3rd Street. Take a right on Ivinson Ave (just a few blocks away). Parking is free on the street. There is also a free outdoor parking lot just behind Blossom Yoga.
